What information do you need to start the hardening process?
I will need SSH access to your VPS (IP address, port, and root credentials or an SSH key). If you are using a cloud panel like AWS or Google Cloud, console access might be helpful but is usually not mandatory if SSH is already working.
Will my website or applications experience any downtime?
In 99% of cases, no. Most security configurations (Firewall, Fail2Ban, SSH hardening) do not require a system reboot. If a kernel update or a service restart is necessary, I will coordinate with you to choose the best time to minimize any impact on your users.
Do you remove malware or fix a hacked server in this gig?
This gig is focused on Hardening (prevention). If your server is currently compromised or infected with malware, please message me first. I offer a specialized Malware Removal service to clean the system before applying the security hardening layers.
