Bykea

Senior Software Engineer

Bykea • Vollzeit

Dec 2021 - Jan 2025 • 3 yrs 1 mo

As a Senior Software Engineer at Bykea Technologies, I managed the entire application lifecycle using Agile methodologies to deliver enterprise-grade software. I architected and deployed a multi-language localization microservice from scratch to facilitate international market expansion, and integrated the Bank Alfalah payment gateway, which successfully slashed per-transaction processing fees by 50%. Leveraging a backend stack of Express.js, Fastify, and Nest.js alongside PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and RabbitMQ, I systematically eliminated API bottlenecks using APM tools to optimize system performance. Additionally, I demonstrated strong cross-functional leadership by managing a team of 6 engineers, overseeing daily scrums and system design sessions, which successfully accelerated sprint delivery cycles from 3 weeks to 2 weeks.
