Dr. Qazi Yasar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, an M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry with Distinction. Dr. Yasar specializes in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses including Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Biochemistry, and Advanced Analytical Techniques. His research focuses on the design and synthesis of novel anti-inflammatory and anticancer agents using computer-aided drug design, as well as bioinformatics-driven approaches in drug discovery and network pharmacology of natural compounds.With over 24 peer-reviewed publications in prestigious journals such as Scientific Reports, Heliyon, and Molecular Diversity, he has also authored a textbook on drug repurposing and holds an Indian patent for novel antipyrine-chromene hybrids. Dr. Yasar has guided more than 40 students on research projects and serves as a peer reviewer for international journals like Biogerontology, Discover Chemistry, BMC, Discover Oncology, Naunyn-Schmiedeberg’s Archives of Pharmacology, In silico pharmacology and Scientific Reports etc.. His expertise encompasses synthetic organic chemistry, molecular docking, dynamics simulations, and tools like AutoDock, GROMACS, and Cytoscape. He has received notable awards, including 1st Rank in the Teaching Category at Avishkar 2015, GPAT qualifications, and high rankings in university exams. Dr. Yasar actively participates in conferences, workshops, and faculty development programs, contributing to multidisciplinary research and education in pharmaceutical sciences.
