From 8 October 2025 to 20 December 2025, I worked on the tourism website Discover Upstate NY where I was responsible for designing and developing a custom WordPress solution tailored specifically for the site’s content and browsing experience. During this project, I designed and developed a custom WordPress plugin that integrates with Elementor, allowing the client to manage and display tourism listings through specialized Elementor widgets. The plugin enabled dynamic content presentation, structured category browsing, and optimized filtering for attractions, regions, and travel-related listings. My work included front-end web design and development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery, as well as backend development in PHP within the WordPress framework. I built reusable Elementor widgets and implemented custom functionality to enhance the user experience, ensuring the website remained flexible and easy for the client to manage through Elementor. The project also involved creating clean UI layouts, optimizing performance, and maintaining compatibility with the WordPress ecosystem. Through this work, I demonstrated strong expertise in WordPress development, custom plugin development, Elementor widget creation, and responsive web design, delivering a scalable and maintainable solution that supports the tourism directory structure and improves the overall browsing experience for visitors exploring destinations across Upstate New York.
