What rating do I need to start coaching with you?
I specialize in helping beginners and intermediate players (under 1800). If you know the basic rules of chess but feel stuck or overwhelmed by theory, my system is designed specifically for you to break through those plateaus.
Why should I choose you over a titled player (CM/FM/GM)?
Most titled players have been playing since childhood and may forget what it’s like to struggle at the 1000–1500 level. I recently went from 0 to 2000 rating and I still remember the exact hurdles you are facing and have a working system to clear them effectively.
Will we spend time memorizing opening theory?
No. Memorizing 20 moves of theory is a waste of time for most players. We focus on game analysis and identifying your specific weaknesses. I teach you the principles behind the moves so you can outplay your opponents without needing to study for hours.
What platform do we use for the lessons?
I am flexible! We can use Zoom, Google Meet, or Discord. We will use a shared board on Lichess or Chess.com so we can analyze positions together in real-time. I’ll make sure the setup is easy and stress-free for you.
Is "talent" necessary to reach 2000 Elo?
Not at all. Chess is a just skill, just like driving or learning a language. My framework focuses on the "Weakness-Cycle"—identifying your biggest error, fixing it, and moving to the next. Telent can help, but it will never overcome work. If you follow the process, your rating will go up.
What exactly will I get out of the lesson?
You’ll leave with a clear understanding of your current #1 weakness and a practical plan to fix it. You won't just "know more" about chess; you'll know exactly what to do in your next 10 games to stop losing points and improve.
