End User Services Architect
KnitWell Group • Vollzeit
Jul 2020 - Jul 2026 • 6 yrs
Owned Microsoft 365 and endpoint architecture for a national retail organization spanning corporate and store environments. Led the Teams Voice and E911 rollout to 432 iPhones across 113 store locations. Stores had been running legacy phone hardware; moving voice onto the iPhones staff already carried for inventory and order fulfillment eliminated separate desk phones entirely. The project had stalled for months under an outside vendor before I took the technical lead, documented the vendor's errors, and worked directly with Microsoft's E911 engineering team on a compliant dynamic 911 configuration. I wrote the build documentation, configured Teams Voice, E911, and Intune end to end, managed licensing, built the migration schedule around a piloted store set, and directed the build team working from my documentation. Completed in roughly a year and handed off to a day-to-day support model. Consolidated single sign-on from Workspace ONE Access into Entra ID, retiring a platform that would have cost $130K to renew. Built the application inventory, prioritized by complexity and user impact, and ran each of roughly a dozen app migrations as its own change-controlled mini-project with its own communications and maintenance window. Migrated mobile device management from AirWatch to Ivanti Neurons, consolidating multiple device brands onto one platform. Rebuilt the full stack in the new tenant: enrollment, restrictions, configuration profiles, dynamic groups, app deployment, patch management, compliance policies, and loss prevention notifications. Part of the same $130K licensing consolidation. Rebuilt patch management across 2,000 Windows endpoints and 4,000 iOS devices. Thirty-day compliance moved from roughly 65% to 90%, with every undeployed patch documented and reported with a reason. Built API-driven automation for fleet-wide device reboots, device status queries, zero-touch enrollment, and automated application reinstallation.
Infrastructure Architect
Talbots • Vollzeit
Jul 2017 - Jul 2020 • 3 yrs
Architected and deployed Microsoft Teams organization-wide during the shift to remote work, working with IT leadership on configuration and external collaboration policy, then rolling out to desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. Migrated the organization from on-premises Exchange to Exchange Online and moved user home folders to OneDrive, retiring legacy mail and file infrastructure. Led the conference room migration from WebEx to Teams, coordinating hardware vendors and scheduling room downtime across departments. Managed roughly a dozen vendor relationships annually including Apple, Microsoft, VMware, Dell, and Cisco.
Infrastructure Operations Team Lead
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta • Vollzeit
Jul 2009 - Jul 2017 • 8 yrs
Led infrastructure operations for a hospital system where P1 systems carried a 99.99% uptime target and downtime carried patient safety consequences. Managed VMware across 120 hosts and more than 1,800 virtual guests on Cisco UCS, with SRM replicating 120 guests to a DR site. Ran patch compliance on 1,500 Windows servers through IBM BigFix. Owned the technical workstream for a data center migration of roughly 100 physical servers and 800 virtual guests: documenting server state and location, building shutdown and bootup procedures per application, and sequencing the infrastructure boot order by dependency and priority tier. The move ran in waves over about a month and completed ahead of a hard lease deadline. Introduced Agile sprint planning to a team where project managers had been assigning work to SMEs with no coordination on priority, which improved visibility for leadership and spread work across the team instead of concentrating it on single points of failure.
