10 years building web applications. Django and Python on the back end, React and TypeScript on the front. I work on existing systems as often as new ones: upgrading legacy Django projects, auditing for security and accessibility, fixing what broke in the last release. I have migrated production platforms from Django 3 to 5 with no downtime, and built accessible components for a public sector platform under BITV 2.0. I also build Foundry VTT modules. Independent developer since 2017, working with clients in healthcare, legal tech, the public sector, renewable energy and financial services. Django and Python on the back end, React, Next.js, Astro and TypeScript on the front. Much of my work is on systems that already exist: upgrading legacy Django projects to current versions in production, auditing existing code for security, data protection and accessibility, and taking over projects other developers left behind. I have owned several platforms single handedly for years, including two migrations from Django 3 to 5.1 with no downtime. I also build and ship my own products, including a SaaS map editor for tabletop RPGs, and develop modules for Foundry VTT.
