Technology analysis and benchmarking of competitor models specifically for reduction of Noise and Vibration in IFB machines. Applying concepts such as Psychoacoustic Annoyance and Sound Quality Analysis for measurement and breakdown of perceived machine noise and its e!ect on the user. Data analysis of sound signals using MATLAB and BK connect software. Developing an application that correlates the user’s ratings with the calculated Psychoacoustic annoyance value and improving the machine’s sound profile by adding insulation and improved damping. Improved the noise profile of IFB front-load washing machine by reducing the Psychoacoustic Annoyance value by 20 Percent.
