Worked with Tibetan writers to edit and refine Tibetan-language manuscripts, including literary and non-fiction works. Responsibilities included correcting grammar, improving sentence structure, and ensuring clarity while preserving the author’s original voice and cultural meaning. Notably, I provided language editing for the Tibetan translation of What Makes You Not a Buddhist, focusing on grammatical correction and adapting older, classical Tibetan expressions into clear, modern Tibetan suitable for contemporary readers. This work required deep knowledge of literary Tibetan, historical usage, and modern written standards.

I received early Tibetan language education through monastic training, where I studied classical and literary Tibetan as well as Tibetan Buddhist texts and ritual language. This experience built a strong foundation in formal Tibetan, oral chanting, and religious terminology. After leaving monastic life, I worked as a Tibetan language teacher at a local school in a Tibetan region. I taught Tibetan reading and writing to a full class of Tibetan children for one academic term, designing lessons focused on literacy, pronunciation, and cultural understanding. This role strengthened my ability to explain complex Tibetan language concepts clearly and accurately.
