Economist Degree Apprentice with the Government
Department of Energy Security and Net Zero • Vollzeit
Sep 2025 - Present • 8 mos
I am currently completing a degree apprenticeship in Economics with the Government, where I develop advanced skills in data analysis, coding (Python/Excel), research, and strategic problem-solving. My responsibilities include managing projects, interpreting complex datasets, creating structured reports, and applying analytical techniques to support decision-making. I regularly work with cross-functional teams and develop systems to streamline processes, demonstrating organisation, time management, and efficiency. These skills directly translate to my freelance offerings, including study coaching, productivity system creation, research support, and academic writing. Additionally, this apprenticeship has strengthened my ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, think critically, and design structured solutions tailored to individual needs — all of which I apply in personalised tutoring and mentoring.
Psychology mentor and tutor
Wallington High School for Girls • Teilzeit
Aug 2024 - May 2025 • 9 mos
Over the past two years, I have worked as a Psychology Mentor and Tutor for AQA Psychology students, supporting both individual learners and small groups. My role involved designing personalised study plans tailored to each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning style, ensuring that revision time was used effectively. I provided guidance on understanding complex psychological concepts, interpreting studies, and applying theories to exam questions, helping students to connect knowledge with real-world examples. I also offered comprehensive essay and coursework feedback, focusing on clarity, structure, argument development, and evidence-based reasoning. Students were guided through planning, drafting, and refining their work, which resulted in improved confidence and measurable grade improvements. In addition, I helped students prepare for exams through active recall, spaced repetition, and targeted practice, teaching techniques to enhance memory retention and reduce last-minute stress. Beyond content support, I emphasised study skills, time management, and exam strategies, helping students to develop effective habits, manage cognitive load, and maintain motivation even under pressure. I encouraged a growth mindset, supporting students to overcome challenges and stay consistent in their learning. This role required strong communication, empathy, and adaptability, as I tailored my approach to suit different levels of prior knowledge and learning preferences. Through regular mentoring sessions, I fostered both academic progress and personal development, helping students achieve higher grades, stronger study habits, and increased confidence in psychology.
Primary School Work Experience - St Elpheges
St Elpheges • Teilzeit
Jun 2024 - Jun 2024 • 0 mos
During my work experience at a local primary school, I assisted teachers in delivering lessons, supporting classroom management, and helping students understand new material. I gained practical experience in tailoring explanations for different age groups and learning abilities, developing patience and strong communication skills. I also assisted in creating engaging learning activities, managing classroom tasks efficiently, and providing individual support to students who required extra guidance. This experience enhanced my ability to observe learning behaviours, adjust instruction dynamically, and foster a positive learning environment — skills directly transferable to tutoring, study coaching, and personalised learning support. Additionally, I gained experience in maintaining a professional and organised approach within a structured educational setting.
