Interactive Web Developer (Contract) At Digipath
Oct 2024 - Dec 2024 • 2 mos
Focused on the development of "Learning through Play" modules, creating a suite of interactive educational tools for children. ~ Educational Games: Developed 5+ distinct game types... including word puzzles, word guessing, sentence matching, and "ladder-sliders"... using custom logic to make learning engaging. ~ Legacy Support: Worked within an AngularJS stack to resolve long-standing bugs and ensure the games performed smoothly on older hardware. ~ Animation: Used a Vanilla-First approach to ensure game mechanics remained lightweight and responsive.
Web Developer (Contract) at Digipath
May 2024 - Jul 2024 • 2 mos
Collaborated on a long-term educational platform, handling everything from legacy system maintenance to modern migrations. ~ Complex Image Processing: Developed a custom pipeline to convert PDFs into interactive books. I used Python for image processing to generate coordinate-based JSON files, ensuring interactive "bounding boxes" stayed perfectly aligned across all screen sizes. ~ Interactive Tools: Built an advanced custom drawing and annotation editor from scratch, allowing students to write, draw, and study directly on digital pages. ~ Modernization: Successfully migrated large portions of the project from a legacy AngularJS environment into a modern React architecture to improve performance and maintainability. ~ Problem Solving: Debugged and stabilized a 10-year-old codebase while adding new features to ensure a seamless experience for students.
