Indie TTRPG Writer

Tanis Games • Selbstständig

Jan 2025 - Present1 yr 6 mos

At the start of 2025 I decided to redirect my focus from LARP writing to writing in TTRPG settings

Head of Story, Crucible

Crucible Society • Teilzeit

Jan 2025 - Dec 202511 mos

Following the retirement of the first Head of Story for the LARP Crucible, I served as Head of Story for a year. During this time I worked with the Board of Directors for the Crucible organization as they transitioned into an official society. We established expectations for both writers and the future Heads of Story. I oversaw a team of creative writers, ensuring that their work was submitted on time and met the expectations of the Board of Directors. This included copy editing, creating event teasers, leading team meetings, and resolving conflicts. I created schedules for 5 events during the season and oversaw the running of those events.

Head of Story, Nova Scotian Chapter

NERO International • Teilzeit

Apr 2017 - Oct 20192 yrs 6 mos

For a three season period, I served as the Head of Story for the Nova Scotian chapter of NERO International, a boffer LARP that operated in the USA, Canada, and Africa. In this position, I was in charge of organizing a team of other writers as well as providing my own written content. We ran 4-5 events a season, with events lasting between 3-4 game days. I created schedules for the events, edited modules submitted by the writing team, maintained a cohesive story-line with NERO International, and oversaw the props used during events.
