Simon knows how to pull out the analog warmth from his tape machines, but also how to make them sound pristine, yet still "tape-ish". He has different tape machines that will suit any genre.

Simon does a great job even with difficult material. In his master the panorama is better, the balance is better, and the perceived loudness is better (something I struggled with myself).
