Lots of editors will use time stretching methods to save time, but my manual method of cutting and fading by hand will leave you with a clean sounding edit every time! I use beat detective in pro tools, and edit as a group to avoid any phase issues. I can fix weak hits, flamming, sloppy fills, and more.

Hi, I'm Stefan, an audio producer and editor for a recording studio in Kitchener, ON named Canadian Daydream. I have been editing since 2016 and have worked with plenty of instruments including drums, acoustic/electric guitar, bass, and vocals. My main DAW's are Pro Tools and Logic Pro. I will time align and edit any instruments making sure they are nice and tight in your track. I can also tune select instruments including vocals, and also mix as well! FAQ
I want my drums to sound tight, but not robotic, can you do this?
Yes absolutely. I pride myself with finding the perfect balance of 'perfect' and 'in-time'. Sometimes 100% on the grid is the way, but i also often do 90%, or less to keep a natural feel, but still tighten things up a lot!
My drums weren't recorded to a metronome, can they still be quantized?
Yes they can! Typically I can program a constantly changing tempo map to tighten up your drums within itself, or if you want it quantized to a set BPM, as long as it's close to that tempo it should work no problem! Message me first in this case :)
My drums sound weak, can you make them sound bigger?
You bet! I offer gating to clean up the close mics, drum sampling to help your drums punch through, and also full drum mixes with FX for ready to go drum tracks! Message me first if interested in any of these options!
How many drum tracks are included in each package?
You can have unlimited drum tracks, as long as it is all one performance. I edit drums as a group, so whether it's 5 tracks or 20 tracks, it's all the same process.
I have multiple drum takes, do you provide comping services?
Yes, I offer comping services for extra add-on when ordering! You can send a Pro Tools or Logic pro session file to make things easier :)
I want my drums converted to MIDI so I can replace them later, is this possible?
Yes, I do midi conversion for close drum mics (kick, snare, toms etc) for easy sample replacement later on!
Do you edit percussion tracks as well?
Yes I do! Usually $5US extra per track, but message me first!
