Developed and delivered technical solutions to resolve customer issues with • Led the design, procurement, and implementation of Pakistan Railways’ first modern Data Center infrastructure, ensuring compliance with public sector procurement regulations. • Drafted comprehensive RFPs for IT infrastructure projects covering: Cisco ASA firewalls, core and distribution layer switches, routers Barracuda ADC 840 load balancer with WAF and SSL offloading McAfee EDR, Microsoft Windows OS/Server/SQL licenses Lenovo blade chassis with 12 cassette servers, EMC Dell storage, racks, APC UPS ISP connectivity, BGP/MPLS, and Layer 2/3 routing design • Deployed a robust virtualized environment using VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, with support for failover clusters, high availability, and critical application hosting. • Successfully implemented network protocols and routing solutions including BGP, OSPF, RIP, and MPLS to ensure high availability and performance. Built and configured the Pakistan Railways Active Directory environment; deployed IPSec VPNs, VLANs, and secure LAN/WAN across offices and field locations. • Hosted and supported core national systems such as: E-Ticketing platform, Land Management System, and Biometric Attendance System Railway Asset and Bogie Tracker System • Delivered the first-ever network monitoring system for Pakistan Railways using PRTG and Nagios, enabling real-time diagnostics and proactive issue resolution. • Integrated Samba-based file sharing on CentOS/RHEL; supported Apache, IIS, and other Linux/Windows services. • Implemented Exchange Server 2016 for secure enterprise email communication and Veeam & Networker for scheduled backups and disaster recovery planning. • Provided continuous coordination with the Federal Minister of Railways, Head of IT, and software development teams to align infrastructure capabilities with new project demands.
