What is the difference between Facebook Pixel and Meta pixel?
There is no difference between Facebook pixel and Meta pixel. The new and current name of Facebook pixel is Meta pixel.
Why need Facebook Conversion API?
Due to the IOS14.5 update and Safari, Mozilla and Firefox, having intelligent tracking prevention (ITP) algorithms, Fb can't accurate data for iOS users. To fix the issues, you need to capture data directly from the server instead of the browser side through Conversion API or server side tracking.
Why do I configure server side tracking on my website?
With server side tracking, you will prevent misinformation or lack of information. We will be using both browser and server tracking. It means that your FB browser pixel is blocked, but FB will still track the user's data using the server.
Do I need Conversion API tracking if my meta pixel works okay now?
Yes. The performance of meta pixel will go sown, so it's better to set up another tracking option now.
How will I set up Server Side Tracking?
I will set up Facebook conversion API with GTM Server(Stape . io) and Google Analytics 4( GA4) with Google Tag Manager.
Which Server I can use for set up conversion API?
Still now stape.io and google cloud platforms are the most popular for server side tracking. You can use any of them but both are premium. The client has to purchase their server on a monthly /request basis.
Not concerned about losing data from IOS users?
Consider that Facebook expects all major browsers to block or significantly limit third-party cookies by 2022. Your ad targeting will also be affected, and the size of your custom audiences and retargeting audiences will likely decrease.
