Über mich
Shopify merchants are losing purchase order history, supplier records, and stocktakes now that Stocky has shut down, with Shopify's read-only export window closing around November 29, 2026. I specialize in shopify stocky migration: exporting what's recoverable, rebuilding native purchase orders and low stock alerts, setting up multi location inventory and reorder automation, or migrating you to a stocky alternative such as Sumtracker, Prediko, Fabrikator, or Qoblex. I also handle broader shopify inventory sync, ecommerce migration, store migration, and shopify pos setup for stores of any size.... Mehr lesen

Freelance Shopify Developer — GraphQL Admin API Migration

Fiverr • Freiberufler

Mar 2025 - Apr 2025 • 1 mo

A client's Shopify store was running a custom app built on deprecated GraphQL Admin API fields (2024-01 API version or earlier). Shopify had set a hard cutoff of April 1, 2025, after which calls using those fields would stop working — putting core store functionality at risk of breaking with no warning to the client's team. I started with a full audit of the app's API usage: every endpoint, field, and query still relying on the deprecated schema, cross-referenced against Shopify's own deprecation notices to confirm what actually needed to change versus what could stay as-is. From there I mapped each deprecated field to its replacement in the newer GraphQL product API and rebuilt the affected calls in a staging environment first, rather than editing the live app directly. Each rebuilt call was tested against the store's real product and order data before anything touched production, so the fix was verified working, not just assumed to be. The migration was completed and deployed ahead of the April 1 deadline, meaning the store never experienced the breakage that hit merchants who left it until the cutoff. Outcome: no downtime, no lost functionality, and a documented record of exactly what changed and why, handed back to the client's team. This project set the process I still use for migration work: audit before touching anything, stage and test before production, and document the result. That same approach now carries into the Shopify inventory, purchase order, and Stocky-related migrations I handle for current clients.
