Scope & Process 1st Normal Form (1NF): Remove duplicate columns and ensure every cell contains a single, atomic value. 2nd Normal Form (2NF): Remove partial dependencies by splitting data into dedicated tables where non-key attributes depend on the entire primary key. 3NF (Final State): Eliminate transitive dependencies so non-key attributes rely only on primary keys, creating separate, linked tables (e.g., Customers, Products, Orders).
