Act as sole full-charge bookkeeper for multiple concurrent, long-term construction projects, owning the complete bookkeeping cycle end-to-end while cooperatively supervising and coordinating with an accounting assistant. • Manage the Chart of Accounts, general ledger, journal entries, AP, AR, invoicing, cash transactions, and accruals across all active projects, ensuring accurate and audit-ready records. • Perform monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations, proactively investigating and resolving discrepancies against supporting documentation to maintain 100% ledger accuracy. • Process end-to-end payroll for approximately 180 employees, including calculations, deductions, disbursements, and compliance-ready payroll recordkeeping. • Track project costs, procurement, budgets, cost estimates, and cash requirements for construction materials, equipment, and inventory to support on-time, on-budget project delivery. • Manage vendor and subcontractor accounts end-to-end– invoice verification, payable balances, payment tracking, and reconciliation– strengthening vendor relationships and payment accuracy. • Drive month-end and year-end close by preparing financial statements and accounting summaries covering expenses, receivables, payables, cash flow, cash position, and overall project financial performance for management review. • Leverage advanced Excel and Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, custom schedules) to build reconciliation trackers and reporting dashboards, cutting manual reporting time. review– to boost efficiency without compromising accuracy.
