Severn Duo is a professional string-playing duo which can offer professional quality string recordings and arrangements of solo and string ensemble of any size for your projects.
Tom and Jess met whilst studying together at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Since graduating, they live and work together as professional musicians with their string ensemble, Severn Duo, and have appeared in multiple CD recordings as well as TV and game soundtracks, recording from their purpose-built studio in Lancashire, UK.

Beautiful string work every single time. I always get such a high listening to my little songs come to life with Tom and Jess's gorgeous string work. It's always such an inspiring, deeply moving experience. I'd always highly recommend!

Our second time getting recordings from Tom, always absolutely brilliant work. We had previously ordered a Cello solo part to a song on our previous album and this time we needed a part performed by a String Quartet. We provided the score for the part and it got interpreted to perfection. Beautiful tone,...

I've worked with Tom and Jess a good number of times now, and every time it gets better and better. They bring so much love and life to my little songs that I'm always left blown away. I'm just so grateful to them for all they bring to my work, and I can't recommend them highly enough. It's always an amazing experience.

Tom M & Jess, the Severn Duo, did a GREAT job of our first experience producing a song with a String Quartet format. It sounds so beautiful I almost cried! No really, they made the emotion ring through and the melody shine! We will come back to them for any future String Quartet or other string projects...
