No! After setup, you simply chat with your AI agent on WhatsApp or Telegram like a normal conversation. No coding needed.
Which messaging app works best with OpenClaw?
Telegram is the easiest to set up and most reliable. WhatsApp works great too. I recommend Telegram for beginners.
Can you set it up on a cloud VPS so it runs 24/7 even when my laptop is off?
Yes — that's the Standard and Premium packages. I'll deploy it on your DigitalOcean, AWS, or Hetzner server.
Is my data safe? Will OpenClaw send my files to anyone?
OpenClaw stores all data locally on your machine. Your data never goes to OpenClaw's servers — only to the AI model API (Claude/GPT) you connect. In the Premium package I add sandboxing for extra security.
Can I use a free/local AI model instead of paying for Claude or GPT?
Yes! I can connect OpenClaw to a local Ollama model (like Llama 3 or Mistral) at zero API cost. Just mention this when ordering.
