Hi! I'm Sam, a college English instructor and published fiction author with a lifelong love of reading and storytelling. I've been teaching writing for six years at the college level, and I have published several stories and two novels. I offer help with beta reading, manuscript critiques, and general feedback on fiction and creative writing.
My primary focus is horror, literary fiction, thrillers, mystery, and speculative fiction. Through a detailed reader report, I'll tell you what's working and where I became confused/disengaged, as well as actionable feedback.

At Odessa College, I teach Composition I, Composition II, British Literature I, and British Literature II. I teach both dual credit and traditional college students from a variety of backgrounds. Within my department, I have collaborated on creating new and updated composition curriculum. Additionally, I have advocated for and promoted the TILT (Transparency in Learning & Teaching) framework of assignment design across the college.
