I have been an intellectual property attorney since 1991. I am registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and I have obtained patents and trademark registrations for Ford, Priceline, Computer Associates, and others. Since becoming a sole practitioner in 2010, I have focused on start-ups and small business clients. Many of my clients have found me after using extremely low cost counsel or trying to protect their IP assets themselves. I urge you not to make the same mistakes, and use qualified legal counsel - even if it isn't me.

Mr. Lech counsels clients regarding appropriate overall IP strategy. He drafts opinions regarding right-to-use, patentability, validity, and non-infringement and prosecutes U.S. patent applications, including presenting appeals before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Mr. Lech also drafts various agreements and licenses with a focus on intellectual property rights. Mr. Lech further litigates intellectual property cases before the U.S. Federal District Court in various states (NV, MI, and OH).

Mr. Lech was responsible for conducting and managing prosecution of a portfolio of between 100-150 cases per year in computer and data processing technologies. He personally prosecuted a portion of the cases and supervised several outside firms that prosecuted the remaining cases. He also developed opinions and decisions regarding patentability. He conducted and supervised trademark litigation concerning the Priceline trademarks and worked effectively with both management and the inventing staff.
