I am a qualified Mechanical Engineer with an Honours degree and experience in engineering analysis, computational modelling, CAD, technical documentation, and problem-solving. I am not currently registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and do not provide professional engineering certification or safety-critical design sign-off. In my professional work, I have assisted with developing, reviewing, and troubleshooting engineering simulations involving fluid flow, structural behaviour, multiphase systems, turbulence, free surfaces, and fluid-structure interaction. My responsibilities include preparing geometry, defining materials and boundary conditions, developing mesh strategies, selecting solver settings, monitoring convergence, investigating numerical instability, and analysing technical results. My achievements include contributing to complex transient simulation projects, identifying potential causes of solver and mesh failures, improving post-processing methods, and developing clear workflows for evaluating velocity, pressure, turbulence, displacement, stress, strain, and forces. I have also prepared detailed technical guides, reports, and presentations that help others understand and reproduce complicated engineering procedures. My additional project experience includes creating Excel calculators, trackers, data-analysis tools, charts, and reporting templates. I have also worked on website development, debugging, user workflows, marketplace functionality, courier and payment integration planning, and AI-assisted coding. I have developed CAD concepts for mechanical components and a custom computer case, considering structural layout, ventilation, component clearances, assembly, and manufacturability. I use AI tools to assist with research, coding, troubleshooting, and quality checks, while personally reviewing and testing the final work.
