As an Automation Engineer at S.A Hamid & Co, an engineering firm that provides automation solutions with all types of PLC's such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, Wago etc, to clients at various industrial sites across Pakistan, my role focuses on PLC programming and on-site commissioning of sensors, PLCs, instruments, and control systems. I handle the full project lifecycle, from initial design through hands-on installation and final system integration. My daily tasks include configuring, installing, and troubleshooting field devices, ensuring reliable and efficient operation for diverse clients in sectors such as manufacturing, processing, and energy. A key recent project was the complete automation of dryers for a rice mill, where I designed, programmed, and commissioned the control system using a Wago 750-8112 PLC in CODESYS 3.5.

As an Automation Engineer at Siddique Ice (ammonia gas plant), my responsibilities included PLC programming, SCADA, and HMI designing. I worked with Siemens PLCs using TIA Portal, including the S7-200, S7-300, S7-1200, and S7-1500 series. I successfully commissioned automation systems such as the cold storage facility and the reverse osmosis plant. My daily work involved control panel design, PLC programming, system integration, and plant maintenance to ensure reliable operation. I was also responsible for installing and calibrating various sensors and instruments to ensure accurate data and smooth plant processes. To improve monitoring, I designed a Node-RED dashboard for the whole plant and also created web-based SCADA screens using WinCC Unified in TIA Portal, allowing for remote access. My main goal was always to deliver practical and reliable automation solutions to improve the plant's productivity and efficiency.
