I will set up self hosted n8n on your server with https, backups and updates
n8n automation and self hosted setup for small businesses
Über diesen Service
Self hosting n8n is quick to do and just as quick to get wrong. An instance without HTTPS, without backups and without an update plan runs fine for six months and is then either exposed or gone.
I set n8n up on your own server so that you can run it yourself afterwards:
- n8n in Docker, so updates are one command and not a project
- HTTPS on your own domain, the certificate renews itself
- credentials encrypted, no passwords in plain text
- on request a daily backup and an error workflow that messages you when something breaks
At the end you get a short guide in plain language: how to update, how to restore a backup, what to watch out for. Not ten pages, one.
What I need: a server with SSH access, for example at Hetzner, DigitalOcean or your own host, and a domain or subdomain pointing at it. If you do not have one yet, tell me and I will recommend a suitable size.

FAQ
Do I need my own server?
Yes. With this gig n8n runs on your own machine, not on mine. A small server for a few euros a month is enough for most businesses.
Will I have access to everything?
Yes. The server is yours and so are the credentials. I only work on it during the order, and you can remove my access afterwards.
What happens when an update comes out?
You get the commands and the order to run them in, including a restore point beforehand. If you would rather hand that over, I can do it as a separate order.
Do you build the workflows as well?
That is my other gig. This one is only the foundation it runs on.
