Usually what information is required to perform a bookkeeping job?
Access to as "accounting firm" requires QBO or Xero account, bank, credit card, and loan statements, as well as all sales and purchase data in the appropriate format. Specific requirements vary depending on the nature and workflow of the business.
How do you categorize expenses and Income without knowing my workflow and business?
When analyzing transactions, I utilize the descriptions provided on bank and credit card statements. However, I do not solely rely on these descriptions or QuickBooks' artificial intelligence. If necessary, I will prepare an Excel query sheet to ask for clarification on the purpose of transactions
Why do you ask for QuickBooks or Xero access before an order placement?
Before beginning work for a client, I ensure that their books are prepared for the requested tasks. If I discover any discrepancies that need to be rectified, I will bring them to the client's attention. If the client agrees to rectify them, I will proceed with the job
How do I give you access to my QuickBooks Online or Xero?
To invite me to your QuickBooks Online account, please log in and click the Gear icon (cogwheel) in the top right corner. Then select Manage Users>> Accounting Firms>> and Invite. For Xero, please log in and add me as a user from the Settings menu >>using the standard or admin access level as needed
My Bank/Credit Card account is connected to QuickBooks. Then why you need statements in PDF format?
Although your bank and credit card are connected to your QBO account, I will still require statements to cross-check transactions with your QBO or Xero register, conduct reconciliations, and adjust PayPal/Stripe fees as necessary.
Are you available for monthly and long term basis or long term?
I am available for monthly and long-term bookkeeping services to meet your needs.
What if you don't know the work?
I do not accept an order without first understanding the nature of the work and reviewing the client's books. If I am unable to perform the work, I apologize and do not waste the client's time
