FAQ
1. Private app or public app: which do I need?
A private (custom) app works only for your store and is faster and cheaper. A public app is listed on the Shopify App Store for many merchants and takes longer. Message me and I'll recommend one. Public apps are quoted as custom offers.
2. Can you build custom sections for any theme?
Yes. I build schema-driven Liquid sections for Dawn, Horizon, premium and custom themes, with all text, images and colors editable in the theme editor. No hardcoding, so they survive theme updates.
3. Is it safe for my live store?
Yes. I build and test on a duplicate (unpublished) theme or a development store and only publish after you approve. I request Shopify collaborator access, never your password.
4. Can you rebuild checkout customizations that broke after checkout.liquid and Scripts were retired?
Yes, with Shopify Functions and checkout extensions. Some checkout features require Shopify Plus or a public App Store app. I'll confirm what your plan allows before quoting.
5. Can you replace a paid app with custom code?
Often yes, for features like sliders, FAQs, swatches, bundles, countdowns and simple upsells. I'll tell you honestly if an existing app is the better choice for the job.
6. Can you integrate Shopify with my ERP, CRM or supplier API?
Yes. I connect Shopify to external systems using the Admin API, webhooks and your API docs for order, inventory and catalog sync. Send the API documentation when you message me.
7. Whose account is the app under, and who owns the code?
The app is built under your Shopify Partner account, and you own the source code. I'll document hosting and deployment so any developer can maintain it. Hosting costs are yours.
8. What do you need, and what support do I get?
Your store URL, collaborator access, a clear description or Figma/reference for what you need, and any API docs. I fix issues in my work for 7 days (Basic), 14 (Standard) or 30 (Premium).
