Multi-Discipline Creative Freelancer

Jul 2025 - Present1 yr 1 mo

I work as a multi-service freelance creative, combining illustration, packaging design, document design, and travel content writing to serve a range of independent clients and small businesses. Across all of these services, my approach stays consistent: understand the end user's actual experience with the product, whether that's someone shuffling a tarot deck, scanning a coffee bag on a shelf, filling out a form on their phone, or planning a trip from a guide I've written, and design or write toward that real moment of use. On the visual side, I move fluidly between illustrative work like tarot card art and structured technical design like packaging dielines and fillable PDF forms, which keeps my skill set broad without sacrificing attention to detail. On the writing side, I bring the same research-driven, audience-first mindset to travel content that I bring to visual branding decisions, letting me support very different project types while maintaining a consistently professional standard.

Tarot & Oracle Card Illustrator

Jan 2024 - Present2 yrs 7 mos

I work as a freelance illustrator specializing in tarot and oracle card design, creating custom decks for independent creators, spiritual brands, and self-published deck projects. My process starts with understanding the deck's intended theme and audience, whether that's a traditional 78-card major and minor arcana structure or a smaller custom oracle deck built around a specific concept like love, healing, or seasonal cycles. I hand-illustrate each card individually, paying close attention to symbolism, color palette, and border framing so the deck feels cohesive from card to card while still giving each piece its own visual moment. I've worked across a range of aesthetics, from soft painterly romantic scenes to intricate gold-linework botanical designs to holographic and celestial finishes for premium collector decks. Beyond individual card art, I design matching box packaging, cover art, and guidebook layouts so clients receive a complete, print-ready product ready for manufacturing. I also compose styled flat-lay and lifestyle mockup scenes with candles, crystals, and fabric backdrops, which clients use for crowdfunding campaigns and social media marketing. This work requires balancing artistic consistency across dozens of cards with the technical precision needed for accurate print production and manufacturer specifications.

Coffee Packaging & Label Designer

Mar 2023 - Present3 yrs 5 mos

I design coffee packaging, labels, and dielines for roasters and coffee brands launching new blends or rebranding existing product lines. This work covers mylar bag designs for whole bean and ground coffee, label designs for retail shelf placement, and box packaging for gift sets and sample bundles. A key part of my process is building the dieline first, matching the exact fold lines, valve placement, and dimensions the client's packaging manufacturer requires, then layering brand colors, typography, and imagery within those precise constraints. I pay close attention to how a design will actually print on foil or kraft mylar, since colors and finishes behave differently on these materials compared to standard paper. I always deliver finished designs alongside photorealistic 3D mockups so clients can see exactly how the bag or label will look on a shelf or in an e-commerce photo before committing to a print run. I've worked with clients across bold, high-energy branding as well as more minimal, earthy aesthetics, depending on the brand's positioning.
