While working with clients through Upwork and LinkedIn, I discovered how much a website’s growth can silently suffer because of harmful backlinks. Many clients came to me confused about sudden ranking drops, and that curiosity pushed me to dig deep into backlink profiles to find the real causes. Through these projects, I gained hands-on experience identifying toxic links, spam networks, irrelevant domains, and over-optimized anchor texts that were damaging site authority. Each project felt like solving a puzzle — carefully separating risky links from valuable ones. I also learned how to prepare clean, properly structured disavow files following Google best practices to protect long-term rankings. Beyond the technical side, I improved my ability to communicate clearly with clients, explain SEO risks in simple language, and provide reassurance during stressful ranking drops. This experience strengthened not just my technical SEO skills, but also my problem-solving mindset and client-focused approach.
