Project Overview: Developed a full-scale backend system for an e-commerce dropshipping platform. The core objective was to automate dropshipping workflows by integrating directly with the CJ Dropshipping API, enabling real-time product management, inventory updates, and order processing without manual intervention. Key Features & Technical Implementation: API Integration & Synchronization - Integrated CJ Dropshipping API to automatically fetch and synchronize products. - Implemented Upsert Logic to update existing products or create new ones based on CJ data. - Synchronized complex product data including titles, descriptions, images, videos, variants, stock levels, and categories. Real-Time Automation - Built webhook-based automation to monitor CJ price changes. - Automatically updated product prices and stock levels in the local database when changes occur. Product Data Management - Normalized CJ API data structures into the platform’s MongoDB schema. - Implemented automatic slug generation for SEO-friendly product URLs. - Built variant-level pricing and stock tracking (size, color, etc.). E-Commerce Core Logic - Developed backend logic for wishlist management. - Implemented product reviews and ratings systems. - Built product sharing features. - Implemented stock availability tracking to prevent overselling. Payments & Checkout - Developed secure checkout backend logic. - Integrated PayPal API for secure payment processing.
