As a Short Form Content Editor for Nils B., I transformed long-form videos into engaging YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels designed to capture attention and keep viewers watching. Rather than simply clipping content, I identified the most valuable moments from each video and repackaged them into short-form content that matched the creator's style and audience interests. I used a funnel-based content strategy where Shorts acted as the entry point for new viewers, helping bring more attention to long-form videos and expanding the channel's overall reach. By analyzing audience response and content performance, I identified which editing styles, hooks, and formats performed best, then doubled down on those winning approaches to improve results over time. My editing focused on retention, pacing, captions, storytelling, and viewer engagement to create content that not only gained views but also encouraged viewers to explore more of the creator's content. One of the key outcomes of this approach was an approximately 18% increase in long-form video views through strategic content repurposing and optimization.
