On the backend, we are leveraging Node.js to build a fast and efficient server environment. This choice enables us to handle numerous simultaneous connections with ease, ensuring that our platform remains responsive under heavy load. Node.js's event-driven architecture allows us to deliver real-time updates, which is essential for maintaining engaging user interactions on the marketplace. To manage our data, we have opted for PostgreSQL, a powerful and reliable relational database. PostgreSQL is renowned for its advanced features and performance, making it the perfect choice for managing the diverse data needs of a bustling marketplace. Its flexibility allows us to handle complex queries and transactions with ease, ensuring data integrity while providing quick access to essential information.
