Multiplayer is the hardest part of game development. Most developers avoid it. I build it every day.
I've been building real-time multiplayer games in Unity for 5+ years using Photon PUN2, Photon Fusion, and Netcode for GameObjects. Shooters, racing games, co-op adventures, battle royale prototypes I've built them all and I know exactly where multiplayer breaks if you're not careful.
What I build:
- Real-time multiplayer using Photon PUN2, Fusion, or Unity Netcode
- Room creation, lobby system, and matchmaking
- Smooth player movement and state sync across all clients
- Host migration and reconnection handling
- Game UI lobby screen, player list, score, ping display
- PC builds and Android mobile builds
I don't just connect players I make sure the game actually feels good to play online. No rubber-banding, no desyncs, no sloppy netcode that breaks under pressure.
