I work as a freelance academic editor and academic support specialist, helping students and researchers improve their written work. My main focus is proofreading, editing, and formatting essays, research papers, reports, scholarship essays, personal statements, and statements of purpose. What I do: - Proofread and edit for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, and flow - Improve sentence structure and paragraph organization so ideas are easy to follow - Format documents and citations in APA, MLA, and Harvard styles - Check reference lists and in-text citations for accuracy and consistency - Review scholarship essays, personal statements, and motivation letters and give clear, honest feedback - Format theses, dissertations, and reports to match university guidelines - Create clean, well-organized PowerPoint or Google Slides presentations for class - Help students plan and organize their research ideas before they write How I work: I read every document carefully, keep the author's own voice and ideas, and explain each change so the client learns and improves. I use Track Changes and comments so you can see exactly what was edited and accept or reject each change. I communicate clearly, respect deadlines, and keep every project private and confidential. What I do not do: I do not write assignments, essays, or exams for submission as someone else's work. My role is to support and improve the client's own writing and understanding. Tools I use: Microsoft Word, Google Docs, PowerPoint, Google Slides, and reference tools for citations.
