I will lofi master your tracks with an ancient tape machine

Lo-Fi Service: I will make your tracks sound worse with an ancient Tape machine.

Worse? Yes worse but in a good way! Aching preamps, sweating tape -- its the magic sauce, the mystery goo!

I will transfer your Audio onto real ¼ tape and then record it back through high quality converters.

I will then bring levels up to with a digital mastering chain. The file will be delivered as WAV 44.1KHz 16Bit unless requested otherwise.

You need to provide your masterpiece; lossless WAV is preferred but its your choice.

Tape has a lot of nice attributes like:

- Saturation and compression

- Rounding off peaks and glue everything in place

- Warm lows

- Crisp highs

Drift in pitch and time and a slight roll off in the highs will give your tracks a slight nostalgic feel and an interesting stereo field. Whats not to love?

The machine used is a Uher Royal Deluxe C from 1968 loaded with a low headroom longplay formula tape for extra grit.

With its four speeds, this machine is unique. The quality ranges drastically depending on chosen speed.

I can also handle the tape for extra warble while recording if desired.
