Über mich
I design kitchenware and simple mechanical products for inventors, startups, brands, and manufacturers who need to turn ideas into functional, attractive, and manufacturable products. I solve challenges such as poor ergonomics, bulky forms, difficult assembly, weak functionality, high production costs, and generic appearance through industrial design, 3D CAD modeling, mechanical development, and prototyping. I focus on creating products that work well, feel right, look distinctive, and are practical to manufacture, helping clients move confidently from concept to prototype and production.... Mehr lesen

Upwork

Product Designer and Mechanical CAD Designer

May 2024 - May 20262 yrs

I worked on the development of consumer and mechanical products from early concepts through detailed 3D CAD development and prototype preparation. My responsibilities included interpreting client ideas and sketches, developing practical product concepts, creating detailed 3D models and assemblies, improving ergonomics and usability, preparing technical drawings, and adapting designs for manufacturing. A recurring challenge was taking concepts that looked good visually but contained problems with assembly, part interaction, manufacturability, material selection, or user comfort. I addressed these issues by evaluating the product architecture, simplifying components, refining dimensions and interfaces, improving mechanisms and ergonomics, and developing manufacturing focused CAD models. I also worked closely with clients and manufacturing requirements to identify potential production problems before prototyping, including difficult assemblies, unnecessary complexity, unsuitable geometry, and injection molding limitations.
