Hello fellow creative!
My name is Kristen Merritt, and I have been a vocalist and lyricist for the past 8 years, creating everything from covers, singles and jingles, to a full length self-released album.
Lyrically, I have a passion for storytelling and cover a wide range of topics. I have self released numerous singles, as well as a full-length album that I produced, mixed, and mastered myself. So depending on the package you chose, I can also competently mix and master your track, now with 2 years of sound engineering under my belt.
I will deliver a fantastic quality performance and clear, thoughtful communication to ensure you end up with an amazing song.

I am a musician with a passion for all things vocals and songwriting. In addition to the vocal work I do, I also do music production - everything from quantizing a track to mixing and mastering. My latest project was my debut Album "Joi" that was self-written, arranged, mixed and mastered by me. Additionally, I also do voice acting/voice overs. I love all things music and sound, and I am excited to work with you!
FAQ
Do you sing in other languages?
Yes I do! I can sing in French (I am conversational in the language) and Korean (I am a beginner with great pronunciation!)
Do you include backing vocals or harmonies with the recorded tracks?
For the basic package backing vocals and harmonies can be added for an additional fee. For the standard package I will include one backing and one additional harmony. For the premium package I will include one backing and additional high and low harmonies (2 total).
Can you create an instrumental/backing track?
For an additional fee I surely can! We can work together to produce the instrumental/backing track you are wanting.
What equipment do you use?
Equipment I Use: Microphone - Rode NT1 Condenser Mic Audio Interface - Scarlett Focusrite Solo DAW - Logic Pro X Mixing and Mastering - Logic Pro X and iZotope Plugins
Who owns the commercial rights to the song?
Commercial rights to the premium package can be bought for an additional fee. Rights to the work created through the basic and standard package are completely yours!
Can you help me write lyrics?
Absolutely! I can write lyrics based on whatever theme or story you are aiming to tell. If you need full song lyrics, please choose the premium package. If you need lyrical help with a shorter sequence of the song (chorus, hook), message me for a custom rate/order.
What will you sing? What won't you sing?
I will sing just about anything, but I do have a few limits lyrically. I don't sing graphically sexual or violent lyrics. I've also chosen at this time not to sing any songs that have a religious basis. If those are what you need, rock on! We may not be the right fit to work together at this time.
