Still running Laravel 10, 11 or older? Those versions no longer receive security fixes, and Laravel 12 security support ends in February 2027. I upgrade your existing app to Laravel 13 and PHP 8.3+ without rewriting it.
What I do
Upgrade Laravel one major version at a time, following the official upgrade guides
Update PHP to 8.3+ and fix deprecated or removed code
Update Composer packages, or replace abandoned ones
Fix breaking changes in config, routes, auth, queues and Eloquent
Run your test suite, or smoke-test your key flows if there are no tests

I work on a copy or branch, never directly on your live site.
Not included: new features, redesigns, front-end framework upgrades, or fixing bugs that existed before the upgrade. Those need a custom offer.

I'm Jay, a PHP and Laravel backend developer. Since 2023 I have built and maintained production business applications, including ERP and CRM systems, with REST APIs, third-party integrations, background jobs and reporting.
I help founders, agencies and small businesses fix and extend existing Laravel apps: backend bugs, REST APIs, queues and cron jobs, MySQL queries, and PDF or Excel reports.
I confirm the scope before I start, work on a copy or staging setup, and deliver changes as reviewable Git commits with a short note on what changed and why.

FAQ
Which versions can you upgrade?
Laravel 8 and newer up to Laravel 13, and PHP 7.4 or newer up to PHP 8.3+. For older apps, send me your composer.json first and I will tell you honestly what is involved.
Do you upgrade one version at a time?
Yes. Each major version is upgraded and checked in turn, following the official upgrade guide. It is slower than one big jump but far safer, and the Git history shows every step.
Will my app have downtime?
The work happens on a branch or copy, so your live site is untouched while I work. Deployment is a separate step you control, or I can do it with the extra.
What if a package has no new version?
I tell you before going further. Usually it can be replaced with a maintained alternative. Basic and Standard cover updates; replacements are included in Premium or available as an extra.
What do I need to provide?
Code access (Git invite or zip without .env), your current and target versions, a list of key flows to check, and the PHP version your server can run.
My app has no tests. Is that a problem?
No. I smoke-test the key flows you list, by hand or with simple automated checks. Premium adds automated smoke tests that stay in your project.
Do you fix bugs found during the upgrade?
Anything the upgrade breaks, yes. Bugs that already existed before the upgrade are reported to you and quoted separately.
Do you upgrade Vue, React or front-end tooling?
Not in this Gig. I keep your existing front-end build working where Laravel requires changes, but front-end framework upgrades need a custom offer.
