I’m a permaculture, agroforestry, and regenerative landscape designer with over 10 years of hands-on experience in sustainable landscape design. My freelance business, established in 2016, is called EWSP consultancy.
I help landowners, gardeners, homesteaders and farmers create healthy, productive, and wildlife-friendly spaces that work in real life.

FAQ
What do you need from me to create a permaculture design?
I usually send a questionnaire to prospective clients, to gain the information I need about the site and their goals. You will find a list of key questions from this questionnaire in the requirements section.
Do you design for my climate and location?
Yes. All designs are site- and climate-specific, taking into account local conditions, rainfall, soils, and appropriate plant choices for your region.
Do you need to be an experienced gardener to understand the plans? Is the gig suitable for beginners?
No experience needed. I create practical, easy-to-follow plans with clear guidance, so you know what to do first and how to build your garden in stages. Even if you’re completely new to permaculture or organic gardening, I’ll guide you step by step.
What format will I receive the design in?
I usually deliver both concept plans and full planting plans in .jpg and .pdf formats. Please let me know if you have different format requirements before placing an order.
What size gardens do you design?
This gig is suitable for gardens under 1 acre. I also design for larger gardens and homesteads, so if your site is bigger, please message me for a bespoke quote. I’ve worked on everything from small urban gardens to multi-acre and multi-hectare sites.
Can you work with existing gardens or partial redesigns?
Absolutely. I design for new gardens, or well-established spaces that need some redesign, working with what you already have where possible.
Can we have a call during the design process?
Yes — for the basic package a call will be arranged within 1 week. A call can also be arranged as part of the design process with the standard and premium packages. Once an order is placed, I’m happy to schedule a call if it will help clarify your site, goals, or design requirements.
Do you offer ongoing support or consultation?
Yes. I offer ongoing hourly consultancy at my usual hourly rate to help you throughout implementation. Feel free to message me to discuss your needs.
