Raw STL files come with no color information, which becomes a problem once you're printing on a multi-color printer or want a model ready for a clean paint job. That's the gap I fill.

Why does my STL file need color added if it already looks colored in my viewer?
STL files don't store color data at all — any color you see is just your software's default preview. For actual multi-color printing or painting, color has to be properly assigned and exported in a format that supports it.
