Absolutely. Security is my priority. I prefer to work via SSH keys, which is the industry standard for secure access. I will never ask for your root password if it can be avoided. After the project is completed, I will show you how to revoke my access so you remain in full control.
Do I need to have a fresh Ubuntu installation?
Not necessarily, but it is recommended. I can perform a security audit and hardening on existing servers as well. However, please make sure you have a backup of your data before we start, just to be safe.
Will my website or applications go offline during the hardening process?
In 99% of cases: No. I configure the firewall (UFW) and Fail2Ban in the background. If a service restart is required, I will always coordinate a maintenance window with you to ensure zero or minimal impact on your users.
Do you support other Linux distributions like Debian or CentOS?
