Senior Moodle Developer – Key Responsibilities Design, develop, customize, and maintain Moodle-based Learning Management Systems (LMS) aligned with institutional and business needs. Configure and optimize Moodle environments (themes, plugins, roles, permissions, cohorts, and course structures). Develop custom Moodle plugins (local, block, report, enrol, authentication) following Moodle coding standards. Customize and extend Moodle themes using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and Tailwind CSS. Integrate Moodle with third-party systems via REST APIs, web services, and external tools (Google Workspace, payment gateways, CRMs, HR systems). Implement advanced user management workflows (bulk enrollment, cohort automation, role assignment, CSV imports, and API-based processes). Optimize platform performance, scalability, and security for multi-tenant and high-traffic environments. Perform Moodle upgrades, migrations, backups, and disaster recovery strategies. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to plugins, themes, databases, and server configurations. Configure and manage Moodle on Linux servers, including Apache/Nginx, PHP, MySQL/PostgreSQL. Implement best practices for data privacy, security, and access control. Customize reports, dashboards, and analytics to support academic and business decision-making. Collaborate with instructional designers, administrators, and stakeholders to translate learning requirements into technical solutions. Provide technical documentation, user guides, and administrator training. Support and maintain Moodle platforms under SLA-based support agreements.
