Do I need any software or license to use the dashboard?
No. The dashboard runs in any modern browser. There are no subscriptions, licenses, or third-party tools required. You own the code forever.
Can I display this on a TV in my office?
Absolutely — this is one of the most popular use cases. The dashboard is built for fullscreen 1920x1080 displays. Just open Chrome, go fullscreen, and cast to your TV via Chromecast or HDMI.
What data sources can you connect to?
Any platform with a REST API. Popular examples include HubSpot, Salesforce, Firefish, Ringover, Stripe, Google Sheets, Airtable, Shopify, and many more. If you are unsure whether your platform has an API, message me and I will check for free.
Where does the dashboard get hosted?
You choose. It can run on a local machine in your office, a Raspberry Pi, or a cloud server like Heroku, Railway, or a simple VPS. I provide full setup instructions for your preferred option.
Will my API keys be secure?
Yes. All API calls go through a secure Node.js backend proxy. Your API keys are stored as environment variables on the server and are never exposed in the browser code.
Can I add more data sources or pages later?
Yes. The code is clean and modular. You can order additional API integrations or dashboard views as extras, or your own developer can extend it using the documentation I provide.
How does the data stay up to date?
The dashboard automatically polls your APIs at set intervals — typically every 30 to 60 seconds depending on the data source. No manual refreshing needed.
What if an API goes down or returns an error?
The dashboard handles errors silently. It keeps showing the last successful data and retries automatically. Your TV screen will never show an error message.
