Since 2000, I have worked as a percussionist and session musician on recordings, concerts, and international tours. My career has developed across Mexico, Puerto Rico, and New York, spanning jazz, Latin jazz, Afro-Caribbean and Latin American music, flamenco, pop, and more. I collaborate with artists and producers to create percussion parts that support each song's groove, dynamics, and character, from subtle textures to full percussion arrangements. My work includes interpreting charts, developing parts from references or creative direction, and selecting instruments to complement the production. Since returning to Mexico in 2020, I have developed my own recording studio, working remotely with artists and producers internationally. I handle microphone setup, recording, take selection, and audio editing, delivering clearly labeled individual tracks ready to import into the client's session. Recording credits include Alex Conde's “Origins,” Jorge Pardo's “Trance Sketches,” Manuel García's “La Aguja,” and Project Grand Slam's “The Rich Ones All Stars,” featuring Randy Brecker and Billy Cobham. My live performance experience includes work with José Feliciano, The Legendary Count Basie Orchestra, and Luisito Quintero. International touring with José Feliciano and Project Grand Slam has taken me across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Australia, including a performance with José Feliciano at Blue Note Tokyo. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico in Jazz and Caribbean Music. This foundation, combined with extensive studio and touring experience, informs my approach to every project: thoughtful musical choices, careful recording, and clear communication.
