I hold a degree in English language and literature and have taught for over ten years. Years of practice correcting English essays have trained my eyes to immediately spot mistakes and inconsistencies. I even spot commas that have the wrong text color.
I also studied translation for a few years, which is an extremely detail-oriented skill in which every word (and its meaning/s and connotations) counts.
