I work as a freelance developmental book editor, helping authors strengthen their manuscripts before publication. I provide practical, author-friendly feedback that helps writers understand what is working, what needs improvement, and how they can make their manuscript stronger while preserving their unique voice. Key Responsibilities Review manuscripts for story structure, pacing, and overall development. Evaluate character arcs, motivations, relationships, and consistency. Identify plot holes, weak scenes, and areas that need clarification. Review dialogue, scene flow, conflict, and reader engagement. Provide detailed chapter-by-chapter feedback. Analyze worldbuilding and story logic where applicable. Prepare clear developmental editing reports with actionable recommendations. Beta read manuscripts and provide honest reader-focused feedback. Help authors prepare manuscripts for the next stage of editing or publication.
