I revise all marketing communications for Strativise, a strategic marketing firm specializing in business-to-business (B2B) marketing for industrial and manufacturing companies. Duties: ❖ Edit all social media engagement, blog posts, webpages, ebooks, and other public messages sent on clients’ behalf, working at a rate of 2,400 words per hour. ❖ Ensure adherence to grammatical, terminological, and stylistic standards as well as to the client’s own preferred style, brand, and “voice.” ❖ Catch inaccurate or unclear descriptions of technological systems and replace them with precise, clear language, harnessing my own grasp of scientific concepts as well as my research skills. ❖ Collaborate with teammates when necessary to solve problems related to technical accuracy or the client’s preferred style. Accomplishments: ❖ Edited the company’s signature ebook, a 20,000-word guide to modern industrial B2B marketing that explains the CEO’s philosophy for winning customers in the social media age. ❖ Avoided potential liability issues by flagging a product description that overpromised (indicating that a certain machine “doesn’t break down”) and alerting team members to the need for more qualified language.
