Managed and secured a SQL Server 2016 Always On failover cluster environment supporting SharePoint and numerous off-the-shelf and in-house applications for a large federal healthcare organization. Led the multi-phase database upgrade path from SQL Server 2005 through 2016, including migrating legacy Oracle databases into SQL Server. Wrote and maintained T-SQL queries, ETL processes, and PowerShell automation for indexing, backups, and routine maintenance. Applied a Master's degree in Information Security and Assurance to enforce FISMA/NIST SP 800-53 compliance, run vulnerability scans, remediate findings, and author security policy based on DISA STIG guidance. Served as site SME for T-SQL and primary point of contact with Microsoft for SQL Server issues, while also administering the underlying Windows Server 2016 systems and backup infrastructure.
