Hi, I'm Derek, and I am an audio engineer who specializes in both MIXING and MASTERING in a variety of genres. Check out the gallery here and listen to some of the songs I have mixed and mastered to see if I am a good fit for you. Please message me if you have any questions.
I work in Studio One 6 and I have thousands of dollars worth of plug-ins at my disposal. The mixing process includes the use of plugins (compression, eq, saturation/distortion, reverb, etc) and editing (fading, cutting out unwanted noise, volume leveling, audio restoration with Izotope RX, etc). I also offer Melodyne and AutoTune pitch correction for vocals at an additional price (or included with the premium package). Mastering comes free with every mix.
If you release a song that I mixed for you, feel free to reach out again and send me the links. I love to support my clients. If you would like a 1-2 minute sample mix, please note that I am very busy with paid projects, so it may take a week.
(I also take Studio One sessions in place of stems.)

I am a Audio Engineer with several years of industry experience. I am currently working as an engineer (and plugin developer) at In The Mix Studios in LA with some of the industry's finest. I have extensive experience in instrument performance (piano, vocals, ukulele, guitar, drums), audio (editing, mixing, mastering), and music production. I specialize in rock/alt-rock/hip-hop but have ties to many different genres of music.
FAQ
What if I have more than 75 stems, or if I feel my mix doesn't fit within any of the 3 packages?
Please send me a message and I can send you a custom offer. I am more than likely happy to help you out with your project.
What format should my files be?
I accept most file formats, as Studio One has robust compatibility, but for best results send your stems as 24-bit, 48 kHz WAV, AIFF or FLAC files.
How long should I expect the revision process to last?
For most revisions, I deliver within one business day. I will give you a heads-up if this will not be the case. The entire revision process can take one or two days, or up to a week or two, depending on how many revisions you request. The average project is usually wrapped up within 2-3 revisions.
